Analysis: At 8:00 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Brewers over the Los Angeles Dodgers. If we've learned one thing from the first two games of this series -- both won by the Brewers -- it's that a struggling Shohei Ohtani has a huge negative impact on the entire Dodgers' offense. The four time MVP has been battling nagging injuries since at least June and he is hitting .197 with a .629 OPS in his last 35 games, including the post-season. It's gotten so bad, that Manager Dave Roberts had a conversation with his superstar on Tuesday to feel out the situation. Ohtani was adamant that he was healthy enough to contribute, so he will remain in the lineup. Still, he's a far cry from the best version of himself. But let's not take anything away from a Brewers team that has basically done everything right so far. As the series shifts to SoCal, Milwaukee will look to keep it going with unheralded lefty Robert Gasser going to the hill tonight. The 27-year-old came up huge against the Padres with four quality innings in a Game 4 start to help close out the NLDS. As bad as the Dodgers hitting has been this post-season, it's even worse against southpaws with a .171 BA and .465 OPS. Take the Brewers. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
