- Analysis
- Eastern Conference Total of the Month. My selection is on the under between Montreal and Washington at 7:35 pm et on Wednesday.
Neither team could have been pleased with their performance last night. The Canadiens did ultimately win in a shootout over Buffalo but coughed up a 3-1 third period lead. The Capitals were outscored 2-0 in the third period in a 4-2 loss in Carolina. We’ll call for both teams to tighten things up as they match up on Wednesday in Washington. Keep in mind, the Habs are just one game removed from a 1-0 shootout victory over Detroit. Washington ranks in the top half of the league in goals allowed per game. Take the under.
