Analysis: My selection is on Connecticut plus the points over Dallas at 8:30 pm et on Sunday. Connecticut enters this game off consecutive blowout losses against two of the best teams in the league in Golden State and Indiana. While I don't expect the Sun to spring the massive upset in Dallas on Sunday, I do think they can at least stay competitive and inside this generous pointspread. The Wings 83-63 win in this same matchup in Dallas on August 2nd is still fairly fresh in the minds of most bettors. Certainly more fresh than an earlier three-point decision in favor of the Wings on July 2nd. Dallas has reeled off three straight ATS victories entering this contest. It has won more than three games in a row ATS only once previously this season and that came during a four-game streak back in late May and early June. I still feel the Wings are somewhat vulnerable defensively, noting that they've allowed 70+ field goal attempts in seven of their last eight contests. Off a blistering shooting performance against Portland last time out and having had four full days to pat themselves on the back since that lopsided victory, I think a letdown could be in order here. Interestingly, Connecticut has limited 17 of its last 21 opponents to fewer than 70 field goal attempts which I do think keeps it a live underdog when catching double-digit points.
