Analysis: My selection is on Minnesota over Chicago at 2:10 pm et on Sunday. This is by no means a throw-away game for the White Sox but they have taken the first two games in this series so they're feeling fairly satisfied entering Sunday's contest, and they'll be sending Jordan Hicks to the mound in what is likely an 'opener' role. Minnesota is entering desperation mode as it tries to say in the A.L. Wild Card race. It has been on a slide to be sure but I do think it has the right starter on the mound to snap its skid here. Zebby Matthews isn't a household name by any means, nor should he be, but he has pitched well lately. Matthews has allowed just two earned runs in 12 2/3 innings over his lat two starts and the Twins are a perfect 5-0 in his last five outings. He'll be looking to avenge an earlier 3-1 loss on the road against the White Sox. He pitched well in that game, allowing only three earned runs on five hits over six innings. Chicago is depth-shy bullpen-wise right now due to injuries and otherwise so navigating this series finale could prove difficult. Take Minnesota (8*).
