- My selection is on D.C. plus the points over Orlando at 12 noon et on Sunday.
The Storm defeated the Defenders 27-19 last week and have now wrapped up top spot in the UFL as the regular season concludes on Sunday. Meanwhile, D.C. currently sits in fourth place and has clinched a playoff spot but can also move up and avoid an opening round matchup with this same Orlando team with a victory on Sunday. Orlando will be attempting to finish the regular season with a flawless 5-0 road record on Sunday. I do think the Storm will have their hands full with a revenge-minded Defenders squad that has played its best football at home, going 3-1. Of note, D.C. has out-paced Orlando by 55 points this season - in fact, the Defenders rank best in the UFL in points scored. While Orlando has been stout defensively, you don wonder if it brings the same edge into this contest given it has already wrapped up top spot and will certainly have an eye on the postseason.
