Coming off a dismantling off Diane Perry in the opening round of Rouen, Marta Kostyuk comes into this Rof16 encounter ready to do more damage. Since the Australian Open, her only two losses were against the Aussie Open Champ, Elena Rybakina. She's more than capable of competing with the best and she does great work on clay as well.
On the other hand, even though Caty McNally boasts a solid clay record as well, she's built her record up in these smaller tournaments against some of the lesser players on the tour. In meetings with the best of the best, she hasn't done too well. Having to come from behind in the opening match and not looking all that strong vs. Katie Volynets, I believe that she's going to have some trouble here today.
